MEMBERSHIP

Activities: Educational opportunities are provided to healthcare professionals and consumers alike. Recent activities include:

  • Identification of gaps in services and quality improvement issues through surveying the family and friends of the recently deceased San Diego County residents
  • Presentation of national program on end-of-life issues, such as the Moyer’s documentary "On Our Own Terms" and the Hospice Foundation of America’s annual teleconference "Caregiving and Loss: Family Needs, Professional Responses"
  • Consumer information, such as the Midwest Bioethics Center’s "Caring Conversations," a workshop on end-of-life planning
  • Speakers Bureau

Meetings: The coalition meeting place rotates to different areas of the county each month. For information on the next meeting, please join our mailing list by sending an email to the coalition mail administrator: sandiegocoalition-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
